Drs. Jean Paul (JP) and Jennet Amonte provide integrative, holistic healthcare for the body, mind, and spirit. The married couple graduated with honors from Palmer West Chiropractic College in San Jose, California. In May 2011, they opened Amonte Chiropractic Clinic, now located at the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa on the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
Dr. Jennet Amonte was not only recognized as salutatorian, a "Presidential Scholar," and welcomed into the Pi Tau Delta Honor Society by Palmer West for her achievement of graduating Summa Cum Laude, but was also given the top honors of "Clinical Excellence." Her specializations in nutrition and needling, with a wide knowledge in chiropractic techniques, allows her to address many aspects of health. She has a strong science background as a Chemistry major from UNC Wilmington and has contributed to research publications. Currently, she teaches Nutrition, Pathology, Anatomy and Physiology, CPR, and various continuing education courses and serves as Faculty Chair at the Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy. In addition, Dr. Jennet Amonte is pioneering a new modality she calls "electrical cupping therapy!"
Dr. JP Amonte also graduated with honors from Palmer West, was welcomed into the Pi Tau Delta Honor Society, and was awarded the "Virgil Strang Philosophy Award" for his Cayce-based approach to patient health. In addition, JP is a licensed massage therapist, a certified hypnotherapist, and currently teaches massage and lectures on the "Mind-Body Connection" at Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), where he also serves as Lead Clinician. JP has an extensive background in Yoga, as he has been a member of the Hot House community since 2007, was the President of the Yoga Club at Palmer West, and was the lead massage therapist for Bikram Yoga San Jose and Ballet San Jose company for three years.
The Drs. Amonte are members of the Virginia Chiropractic Association.
